Algorithm for Efficient Data Placement in Blobseer Architecture

چکیده

The huge demands put forward by the computer intensive and data intensive applications have lead to the development of data centered scale computing systems. One among them is Hadoop, with HDFS as its default storage layer. Blobseer’s BSFS proved to be more concurrency optimized data access. This paper proposes an algorithm for the write operation performed in this architecture, which considers the network traffic. Our approach can efficiently reduce the network traffic while ensuring a load balanced distribution of data among the nodes.
